Preparing for Hardwood Installation
Preparation is important for a successful hardwood floor installation. We'll give you detailed information ahead of your installation, but here are some things to know now.
In many cases, the old flooring will have to be removed to clear space for new hardwood. Having this job done professionally can be helpful because an experienced flooring specialist will know when the surface is ready for service and can assist you with the disposal of your old flooring.
The room where your new hardwood will be installed will need to be empty, so you’ll have to remove all the furniture.
All our installers are employed by Biron’s Flooring only and not sub-contracted. We take pride in educating our installers by sending them to training and certification courses.
During Your Hardwood Installation
On the day of the installation, be prepared to greet the installers and direct them to the work area. You should also plan on being available during the installation in case the team has any questions.
Once the installation begins, make sure children and pets are kept away from the work area. Our installers use a variety of tools and techniques that can make the work area hazardous.
When the installation is complete, you should do a thorough walk-through. This will allow you to see the final results and ask any additional questions. We want you to be 100 percent satisfied with your hardwood flooring!
